If you have Excel 2013, these steps walk you through installing the Power Map add-in and creating a couple of very simple maps. If you are working in Excel 2016, skip ahead to the Plotting Graphs in 3D Map section.

If you have Office 2013 Professional Plus or a standalone version of Excel 2013, you can use Power Map Preview for Excel 2013, which is an unsupported add-in. The earlier version of the Power Map Preview is expired, and won't work with any version of Excel. If you installed the earlier version, uninstall it from Control Panel, then download and install the current version of the Power Map Preview. This version has the same functionality as the version of Power Map that was released with Microsoft 365 SP1.

Microsoft Power Map for Excel is a three-dimensional (3-D) data visualization tool that lets you look at information in new ways. A power map lets you discover insights you might not see in traditional two-dimensional (2-D) tables and charts.

This issue occurs because the registry keys that provide the add-in information to the Add-in Manager are damaged or set to invalid values. See More Information for the Office 2013 and Office 2016 SKUs that contain these add-ins.

If your processes need to use more than 2 GB's, then you need to carefully consider moving to Microsoft Excel 64-bit version. Installed Excel Power Query on Excel 2013 packaged in Office 2013 standard. After installation the Add-in appears in the COM Add-ins menu but when the check box is checked and OK is clicked the ADD-in does not load. Any help is appreciated, questions answered ASAP.

I installed Microsoft office 365 version 2016, and now my microsoft query is not working anymore like it was working on previous versions. I was using it to connect to external customer database to get their data , so not I cant do my report anymore. How can fix this problem? I did check on add-ins and there is now power query there, I tried to installed it and I am getting an error message saying power query is installed already.
