Sultans Of Swing Strum Pattern

I have been working on Sultans of Swing and I want to master the strum
pattern that the guitar player uses in the song. It seems like a normal
D-U-Chuck-U pattern but quite often he will throw in very quickly and
smoothly some extra strums. I can not figure them out and when I do come
close Im having a hard time trying to fit that "fast strum" into the normal
strum and keep on time. If I had it written out I could practice it slowly
but I can't write it out because I can't quite figure it out! Any help from
anyone would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks.
