I have a fix Fender reverb footswitch Fender Blues Deluxe amp (Type PR
246, Serial T-24XXX) and a Fender 2-button footswitch (mono 1/4" plug,
Assy. P/N 0028122000, Made in Mexico) which has Channel Select +
Reverb switches. The channel switch works but not the reverb.
According to the post below, the amp needs to be modified so the
reverb is switchable like on a Deville. Can anyone point me to some
instructions on how to do that? I'm not an electronics wizard but I am
handy with a soldering iron. Much appreciated...

Can anyone tell me how the footswitch operated on the '90s version of
this
amp please? Eg channel to tip, reverb to ring?

Thanks,

Sorry, channel (tip) only. Reverb doesn't switch on the Blues
*Deluxe*,
does switch on the Blues *DeVille* (ring.)

FYI the PC board is the same 'tween the two, if a person really wanted
to, they could add the 'missing' components to a Blues Deluxe and make
it switch reverb too.

I don't know how it's done because I haven't looked at the circuits.
However, being handy with an iron, and ruining a PCB are just a few degrees
apart (temperature-wise). I'd hesitate to work on a PCB amp if I didn't
have the chops to pull it off. If you lift a trace with too much heat, you
might not be able to back out of the work and you'll end up needing a tech
to fix it. It will be more than just a head scratcher. Careful what you
wish for. If it were me, I'd send that work out. I'm an amateur. I've
built 7 or 8 amps (yup, they all work), but none use a PCB.

If you've got the requisite PCB experience, well then maybe you can pull it
off. Get the schematics and study up.

Thanks for the reply.
Any idea how to reach the guy?
There is a phone # at Braught.com but I don't want to impose, if
someone can contact me with an email that would probably be less
intrusive...
Thanks

I haven't seen The Mighty Braught around here for quite some
time...years. His QTS site seems to be down or gone, but the header
on www.braught.com says "Please call" and "Thank You". I don't think
you'd be imposing. BTW, he's located in Eudora, Ks., about halfway
between Kansas City and Lawrence.
