Howdy all:

There's about four days left to bid on my Peavey bass amp. It's currently
at $202.50.

Here's the link:

Here's the description:

Model: Peavey TKO 65 BW. This is a 65-watt bass amp with a Peavey
black-widow speaker. I believe this amp was replaced by the 115 line, but
don't quote me on that. This amp could be thrown off a building and
probably still work. Great amp for the weekend warrior, that 15-inch Black
Widow speaker can really punch through the muck. I haven't played it in
years. It never saw much action, and I think its got plenty of life left. I
really don't remember how old it is, probably late eighties. This amp is
not mint, but I'd rate it a 7/10. Maybe 8/10. It's picked up a lot of dust.
Everything works to the best of my knowledge. The original plug frayed, and
has been replaced (and there is the requisite electrical tape there). There
is a sticker from Marguerite's Music (Moorhead, MN) on the front of it --
that's where it was bought. Okay, let's get to the meat and potatoes. Two
inputs, a HIGH GAIN and a LOW GAIN. As we move left-to-right, there are PRE
and POST gain knobs, both can be pulled out for brightness. It's got five
equalization knobs. LOW, SHIFT (adjust mid-range from 150 to 1500 Hz), MID,
HIGH, PRESENCE (-12 to +12 dB). You can really dial-a-tone here, and adjust
the crossover and presence for the venue. Works pretty slick, I think. It's
also got a PREAMP OUT and POWER AMP IN loop. There are two indicator
lights, one is red when the power's on, the other indicates when the
compressor is working. This amp has a built-in limiter to keep spikes out
of the speaker. In addition to the power switch, there is a +/- polarity
ground switch on the front. There used to be a BW badge on the front of the
amp, but it broke off years and years ago. There are no inputs/outputs on
the back panel of the amp. I hate to part with this, but it's gathering
dust. There's a weekend gigging bass or keyboard player that could really
use this. Shipping's going to be a nightmare. I will absorb all reasonable
packing costs, but shipping and insurance will be in addition to the final
price. I think USPS or UPS ground is adequate. This thing is a boat anchor,
it's gotta weigh 60 or 80 lbs. You can pay by check or MO, but I will
naturally have to wait for the check to clear. I will be unavailable from
7/16 to 7/27. I don't have a picture, we're not that advanced here :) I can
tell you that it is a black box measuring 21W x 24H x 12D (inches). BTW, it
is a sealed enclosure. Please don't hesitate to email me with questions.
Regards, TFH
