Attention anyone doing business with or about to do business with this guy.
He has stolen over $700 worth of speakers from us and now has stolen an
amp from Fuchs Audio. He claims to be affiliated with the Allman Bros. Band
and other big names. They have all confirmed he is a fraud. We have been
in contact with the Sheriff's office in that locale and are preparing
the attempt to recover our speakers or the money owed us. We have been
told that he pawns his scams through a local pawn shop. He was from Atlanta
until last year and apparently had to move to Macon to avoid the heat.
We just caught up with him. If you call his phone number, (478-741-1070) you
find that he is involved in Orange Amps, Sleep Aids, and Insurance.
He also supposedly promotes blues fests in that area.
Please be careful in dealing with this guy, you'll lose.

My number one rule:
NEVER give anyone anything
without getting the $$$ first!
I wont say who,
but an artist customer of
mine sent me 10.000
worth of vintage amps
for service,
and ended up in jail
before my fees were paid.
His record Co. wrote me
a bad check for the repairs,
not realizing they didnt have
the amps back!
Once I informed them I would
be more than happy to keep
these amps for my services,
they sent a very fine secretary
down with the cash.
True story.
Get the money first guys.

Hello Ted,
Thanks for the heads up. You guys are decent folks who produce great
speakers - I hope things work out OK for your company in this matter.
Thanks for your contributions to the world of amps through your excellent
speaker line. The guy who is fraudulently acquiring goods is (I can only
hope) really going to get a big lesson soon.
For the players who may be interested, I put a Weber ceramic Blue Dog in
a 2 x 12 cab with a Celestion Vintage 30, and after the break-in period, the
Blue Dog has a noticeably bigger and tighter bottom end. You guys might
want to try some of these with your Vintage 30's and enjoy the mids of the
Celestion with the bottom end of the Weber Blue Dog.
Walk in Beauty, Peace. Scott

A few of my "big" customers
never see the bills,
the accountants pay whatever
I submit.
BUT,
there are a few who can be
trouble and I have to stand
my ground.

Absolutely!!!!!

It does!
Artists bleed the same color blood
as the rest of the human race,
and until I see different they're
going to pay like everyone else!

<< And,... CHARGE ACCORDINGLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >>

Yes indeed!!!!!!
Im not BurgerKing,
you cant have it your way.

Of course the worst thing you can do is pat yourself on the back and
declare you will never be "Hooten'ed". Those kind of
con artists are the best and you can never be ready enough.

The list of Hooten victims now includes Orange Amps, Engl Amps,
Deacon Roads, Guitars, Baker Guitars, Weber, Fuchs Audio, and perhaps
others. He reportedly came very close to taking Sovtek for a
ride, but they got tipped off just in time.

Beware....

and as a public service, please keep this thread alive.
