Can i pull 2 tubes (inside pair) and run my amp through 2 cabs with the ohm
selector at 4ohm - is that all that is needed? Or will i be cooking
marshmallows over it later tonight as it catches fire if i do this?

do it man..

But check the impedence of your speaker cabs.. remember when you pull
tubes.. you cut in half the output rating of the amp. So your selector on
your amp might say 4 ohms.. but you need to find an 8 ohm cab for it.
