these days. There's just no need to discuss stuff outside the world of

through his Dumble v. Fenders. Just something about the depth of tone

Two Rock - loads of people from John Mayer on using them
Since circuits are not copyright/patentable, they are fair game. Lots
of really good makers out there today besides the usual suspects.

All of his amps ship with my glass on board. Santana
and Larry Carlton are also playing Bludotones. Bludotone
is in Denver. BTW - the majority of Brandon's Dumble
clones ship with the Reflektor/Tung-Sol 6L6GC-STR
installed. While the Winged C 6L6s sound great, they
turn into rattletraps after about three months of road
duty and become unusable. The Tung-Sols turned
out to be fabulous for this application, and they hang
in there on the road. Brandon likes the JJs for the
preamp; I can't stand 'em, myself, but they seem to
work just right for the way he's building his amps.

The Chinese will, however, build you an excellent
transformer if you're willing to pay for it. It won't

Randall Smith, for instance, holds a patent on the
pentode-triode switch - if you can believe that.
I was installing those *way* back in the day;
they were common knowledge in the hi-fi

All of his amps - from the very beginning - have shipped
with my glass on board. In fact, Brandon was here Monday
and picked up 10 quads of Tung-Sol 6L6GC-STR and 24
pieces of JJ ECC83-S. Brandon knows full well that he
can get them much cheaper from the importer - New Sensor -
than the price I charge. He also knows that my QC is *vastly*
superior to theirs, and to that of just about anyone else out
there. When he's busting his balls to keep up with the demand
for his handcrafted amps, and when his customers include
people like Robben Ford, Santana, Larry Carlton (etc.) and
other music industry luminaries, it simply doesn't make
sense to buy glass from outfits with indifferent or haphazard
QC procedures. You may find a few other boutique amp
manufacturers in my sig - these would include people who
buy all or nearly all of their glass from me, such as Roccaforte,
Bludotone, Reinhardt and so forth, and people who usually
buy stuff with special selection parameters, like Germino, Waky,
Jim Kelley, Maven Peal, Gerhart and the like. Others are only
occasional customers now, due to limited production or to them
having decided to do their own QC. Feel free to contact any of
them. There *is* a reason all those companies buy from me...
but you're probably too far gone in the throes of your full-blown
terminal case of The Willies to figure out what it is.
Groove Tubes refers to their products as "theirs," even though
they don't make any of them. They, too, list prominent musicians
who use their products - as do Harma, TAD, TNT, Mojo, Ruby, etc.
It's called "business," you clueless asshole. Don't like it? Go fuck
yourself - and get a job. BTW - a heartfelt thanks for providing yet
another opportunity for me to promote myself, thus further enriching

Marc, the Bludo/Fuchs/Brown Notes all run similar in price, so around
$3500 for a fully built amp.
With Ceriatone and Brown Note, you can buy kits and DIY. Obviously
cheaper that way. Some killer clips on the BN site.
