Awesome guitar amp tubes! For sure VOX AC-30, AC -15,AC -10.Also some great
sounding old Gibson amps, even a stereo one 77RVT, I think. And even Fender once
made a Tremolux w/EL84s, I saw that in the Groove Tubes Tube Amp Book.

Try here, look for Vox schemes. I'd throw in a Fender Bassman preamp.

Although not in the vein of what you are going to do, the PEAVEY
CLASSIC line uses 84s. Put in the right tubes, right speaker(s), better
caps, and stop the rattles and the amp can sound good. Why not see what
they did too?

Try the AX84 page for a mean little EL84 amp....and yes, it has
a *CLASS A* output stage!:)

I think they got their own domain now: try out www.ax84.com

Try DUNCANAMPS@Simplenet.

There are stacks of circuit diagrams there.

Yeah I wouldn't mind a SE class A amp because this is just going to be a small
practice amp, but the transformer that I have is push pull...

thanks for the reply though, I have seen the AX84 page it is quite
interesting...
