Help!
This unit is old and really cool, but I doubt it's worth even a bench
charge+ there is not a qualified tech within 50 miles of me.....from
what it's doing I 'm almost positive the battery needs to be replaced.
It's an easy enough thing to do as I have the service panels
removed....but I CANNOT SEE THE BATTERY!!! Must be covered by another
board or something? I'm not sure where to look on the web to find a
diagram.....I did find the manual, but it does not address this. Long
shot I know but thanks in advance!

DOH! It's a CR2032 3v with the little solder tabs....I found it
literally 2 minutes after previous post! Now to find one.....radio
shack and/or ebay here I come.

CR2032s are available
everywhere from Home Depot
to your neighbor $1-5
bargain emporium -- I'd
unsolder a battery holder
from a dead PC motherboard
so I could use garden
variety batteries (much
easier to find than the
solder tab version) and
not have to bother with
soldering the next time.

Wouldn't you know I trashed at least a dozen old MBs about 6 months
ago! Great idea! I did find a battery holder however and will probably
go that route.
