I have designed a simple amp switching stop-box which uses a 4PDT switch.
It solves all but one of my problems: It isolates the ground between amps
and shunts the unused amp while assigning the box ground to the open amp.
What I do get is a loud switch pop during switching. Does anyone know of
any circuitry I could use to suppress this pop while keeping the entire
circuit passive and without transformers?

There is a schematic for an amp switcher at this site. Maybe it will give
you some ideas.

you could solder a 1 megohm resistor across the pdt switch, or you could use
a capacitor

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have designed a nice little passive
amp switching circuit that utilizes a 4p2t switch. The circuit shunts the
unused channel and assigns the box ground to the active side of the switch
only. The only problem is that is gets quite a pop when switching into
the live circuit. Does anyone out there know of a cleaver circuit that
can provide some sort of delay or accelerated volume increase that will
eliminate this pop problem?

Several folks mentioned solutions involving capacitors and resistors.

Read the followups to the previous message you posted.

One person mentioned a solution involving "a capacitor" or a one meg-ohm
resistor. Neither worked or I wouldn't have posted the follow-up!

I think a CAP right across the switch would absorb the transients. Kind of
like the power switch on any older stereo
amp or reciever....possibly even an RC circuit....
