Fall Colors

Any word on how the fall colors were this year? When I was in
northern-lower Michigan last October, the color was really "patchy" -
one area would be FULL color and 1/4 mile away, nothing.

I heard that a few weekends ago it was beautiful in northern lower, two
weekends ago it was pretty around the SW lower. Last weekend was a
windstorm that blew most of the pretty ones off the trees. All-in-all I
think they were better colors than last year.

We were up in the Porkies and the Keweenaw Peninsula last week. The
colors were good hear the lake but the leaves were mostly gone farther
inland.
