A big fire this weekend destroyed the old buildings at
Jefferson Beach Marina in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

It was quite a big fire, but I don't think too many boats
were damaged. Most of them were in the water by now.
Owner Al Wagoner thanked the firefighters for saving the
rest of the marina. The old bandshell and dance hall
were destroyed. Tonight's local news had coverage, with
comments from old-timers who used to dance to Stan Kenton
and other famous big-bands there in the 30's and 40's.
