Hi Keith...
Thanks for the test message! From time to time I, too, think the newsgroup
is dead! I guess it's just a little inactive!
Hot about some real activity: Is it hot enough for you? Well, I guess it
really isn't, at least in a few places: Wx in Sault St Marie was pretty nice
and Duluth was sort of like here (Portland, OR) - 80s, moderate humidity and
chance of thunderstorms!
(And in fact, one TV news station reported two men struck by lightning here.
Very odd for us to have electrical storms and even more odd to find
causalities because of that).
So... WHERE are you (anyone may answer!) and what's YOUR weather like
today?
And as a bonus question, mainly to stimulate traffic on this news group,
what are you planning for the fourth of July???
Anyone else disappointed with Dateline's story on Thomas Richardson.
"Munising" was never mentioned.

Chatter! Ok, born in Kingsford/raised in Iron Mtn area - parents
migrated to Ohio in 60's.
I live in s/w Ohio - we are having pretty abnormal weather, rain almost
daily, hot (and humid, natch). Of course today, totally different.
Grey, cloudy, cool with cooler weather on the way. Still rain in the
forecast each day until Friday.
Last year - drought, this year - rain forest. Still can't get hay in barns.
No plans for 4th, but I'll always remember the fireworks off Pine Mountain.

How are the biting black flies in the UP? Are they fading out now?
Thanks,

I think there is a walk across the bridge, Keith. One way, of course.
Don't know about a bike ride.
I'm assuming you know about BoatNerd?
IN the good old days there was extensive discussion of lake shipping
here on this newsgroup. Flame wars began to abound, and Neil set up the
BoatNerd site so as to have a sane place for GL and laker fans to meet.

That's an intriguing adventure, Keith.
