Tracing software

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for software that will trace bitmap image and be able to
preserve all curves in DXF format on save ...

I tried Corel Trace and Adobe Streamline but those packages convert all
curves into straight line segments which I have to smooth later ..

I would appreciate any help how to tackle the problem or any suggestions in
choosing new software ...

Hi

I regularly use Adobe Streamline to vectorise bitmap
images...................a much better prog than corel trace.
I work with Irish Celtic Zoographic images.......................these are
curves within curves within curves.............not a straight line in site.
I suggest you look at your set up preferences...................because
streamline is great with curves.
If you don't spot the issue please get back to me at my
e-mail.....................I'll give you a screen dump of the best settings.

You are not using the software correctly. Streamline will use curved
lines if you tell it to.

Read your manual.
