I believe that is dependent upon the typeface...
for Mac OS 8.5, type; Geneva it is option shift 2 --> €
if the last character of the previous line is a euro then your display
type has it.

All the European localised versions of Mac OS 8.5 have the euro Symbol
built into the supplied TT fonts

As Ron wrote, Option shift 2 gets it on screen

NT4 sp4 has the Euro symbol. I usually use the character map and copy
and paste any of the non keyboard symbols.

Install a font that contains the appropriate character and glyph, make sure
your OS lets you enter it (in Windows NT, you need the most recent Service
Pack or a patch to do this), and you're all set.
