Hi all,
I mostly work with Bryce Poser and Photoshop and I've posted here a few
times but I'm not nearly experienced with PhotoShop 5 to post any replies.I
just lurk and learn.
anyway ....I have a friend that asked me to do a logo for him for a back to
school letterhead , And wants to know if I can do it in a "Back to the
future" font.
However I'm sure that font is copyrighted so my question is .
are there any fonts like that out there that come close to that font or is
there an action that does this?
This is a free thing I'm doing for my friend.
Thanks for any help

I don't know what the font is, but it seems to be a very plain
chunky square font. It's the bended effect in perspective and
the gradient more than the font that gives the logo its look.

I think you'd be best served to do it in a vector program. Set
the type then convert it to paths and do the effect. Maybe Bryce
could do that effect; don't know. Wrap the text on a cylinder
and rotate into the right perspective? Photoshop would probably
not be the best bet for that logo.

If you have nothing better to do...

The name of the font is appropriately called "Doubleback", and can be
purchased from ComicBookFonts.com at http://www.comicbookfonts.com/cgi-

Not sure if the font you are looking for is here, but they have some
cool ones to choose from, ranging from Movies to TV show titles.

Please correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought i recently read that fonts
are not copywriteable (is that a word), just the names of fonts.

Enjoy!

alt.binaries.fonts they can tell you anything you want to know about a
font, including where to find it.
