Is there an advantage in using PhotoShop when working
with silhouetted images that are later placed into a
rendered 3D background?

I've been using Corel and have been
experiencing a fade from the edges of the image.

Any example of what I am talking about can be
seen here:

Especially the larger size image on the left.

When taking the photos try to use background colors that are unique. If
your background colors are too close to that of the object(in this case
a very nice set of ta tas)you are going to have trouble getting your
mask correct. Filters help greatly but a little extra set up on the
original production end can go a long way towards making your editing
job easier no matter what program you use.

I dont know if you are familiar with the term chromakey. Its the effect
achieved by isolating one color and replacing it with another
color/image. (Like the weatherman uses.) This is probably the easiest
way to go.

Peace

PS: If that was Bryce you used for the background image you might like
to know that you can import gifs in and they do retain their
tranparency. Just in case you didnt know. =)

Being invisible is a lot harder than it looks.

Hello:
Iam curious as to why you would post two opposing
letters to two newsgroups with the suggestion that there is a with a
program-related problem-If you have a serious technical question it
could be answered by someone,if so state the real facts and someone
may help. The former letter was posted to alt.graphics.photoshop and
the later was posted to alt.graphics.bryce. If you want to know how to
remove a blurring or 'fade' effect in a certain program, come out and
say it why dont you!
