Hello. Can anyone tell me if there are any filters (commercial or
otherwise) that will transform an image to look as though it had been
painted by a specific artist (e.g. Monet, etc.)? Any help would be
appreciated.

I'm assuming you're using PhotoShop?
I actually don't know of any filters that will do this for you
apart from one called "Alchemy" that comes with Corel
Photo Paint 8 (it came with version 7 too, don't know about
any earlier ones) They have a wide variety of filters
and are very versatile, including some that will make a photo
look like an oil painting made by Seurat or Monet..
and also a little clever one that makes it look like a Picasso!
I don't know if you can get it separately for PhotoShop though
I just had a look through my machine and I have no idea
where it is...all I get is a bunch of *filter files* without
a descriptive name..So I wouldn't be able to tell you
if it can be done..
