Exporting DXF and IGES files from Illustrator

Does anyone know how to export (not import) DXF and IGES files from
Adobe Illustrator. Note that I don't necessarily want to convert
raster to vector images but merely want to convert the line art in
Illustrator to some format that I can import into a CAD system
(Pro/Engineer). If there any third-part tools that accomplish this
task, I would be interested.


I am aware of applications like Adobe Streamline, which is not what I
want. Although Streamline is a powerful tool, it interprets bitmaped
data to create line art. I merely want to extract the line art portion
of an illustrator file, thereby ignoring any bitmapped data.

Note this is for export, not importing.

There is a plugin called CADgate for importing and exporting
dxf and dwg. You can download a demo here:
