how to skew a rectangle in illustrator

Hi all
This is probably a simple question. But how do you skew a simple
rectangle shape in illustrator?

It IS simple since you can find it easily in the Illustrator Help. Just type
in "skew" and you'll find the answer.

easier still:
1) select the triangle
2) click on the free transform tool
3) move one of the CORNER handles while holding down the option+command keys
hint: you MUST start moving a handle before using the modifier keys

If you're like me and tried clicking and dragging with alt, control and shift and still couldn't get it to skew. And proceeded to have to google this silly issue. It's prob because like me you forgot to:

Use the white selection arrow

and/or

DOUBLE click on the corner before dragging to skew
