I have a microsoft publisher document that needs to be converted to adobe
illustrator format for print. What is the best way to go about doing this?
I'm referring specifically to export format in publisher for import. I want
the text still editable and the ability to change the color pallet.

Later versions of Publisher have the ability to Export or Save As (can't
remember which) an EPS. Hope that you have a version of Publisher that will
do this. Older versions only allowed the proprietary save as PUB. If this is
the case, good luck - prepare yourself for major dicking around and wonder
no more why pre-press operators charge more for Publisher files.

Keith.

You can save as a PS file but it's full of flaws, especially with text
strings - totally messes up kerning. But this is about the closest you're
going to get to anything useful. You might TRY printing as a PDF using
Acrobat if you've got it. If you don't have it, you can use the shareware
program PDF995 if you're on a PC. But there are problems with that PDF
output, too. Sorry!

alternatively, get a PDF print driver and print to PDF. Then simply import
into Illustrator
