can anyone explain what this thin red line is and how to get rid of it????

i think it must be a bug of some sort. its only visable when objects are
against a white baackground and also in thge little preview icon on the
layers palette.

How about the user forums? If there's a problem, you can bet you'll be
seeing feedback about it up there even if Adobe tries to gloss in over on
their corporate pages and FAQs.

No, you just know what you're getting. Since most of us are are using the

All newer macs use that ATI card.
The Adobe forum for Macusers would be where to look for real answers.
As for hardware problems, I just had my internal hard drive on my older G3
start to go South on me today. the second one ever in my 12 year Mac
lifetime.
I haven't had anything else really ever happen.
Got one of those insanely inexpensive AKA drives to replace it. Quickest
install I've ever done.

As long as I don't have to use (and inevitably troubleshoot constantly) a
Microsoft operating system...
The ATA seems to be an anomoly anyway. Nobody really uses these anymore,
do they?
