Question: what does "4pp" mean??

Hi. Can anyone tell me what "4pp" mean in printing terms?? I am a student
just given a brief on stuff about printing jargons based on desktop
publishing design I believe this "4pp" has something to do with printing
specification?? ...please reply via email!

4ppm usually refers to 4 pages-per-minute (in regards to the speed of a
printer or press). Please let me know the context of "4pp" and I will do my
best with that one as well.

4ppm means four pages per minute, in other words slow.

You may be thinking about printer's spreads, or signatures. Think of
a 16 page booklet, for example. Imagine unfolding the book until you
have the printer's press sheet (with 8 images on front and back).
This is a 16 page signature, written shorthand as 16 pp.
So 4 pp would be a four page signature, which has 2 images on front
and back of the press sheet.

How about this one? I have seen some printers advertised as x mpp! (minutes
per page!!) Little eye trickery there.

Actually 4pp stands for "4 pages" it's term used when discussing the size
of a booklet, the speed of a printer is described as 4pm
