Adobe Streamline (Auto-tracing programs)

Sorry for the off-topic post? Does anyone have experience with Streamline?
Any recommendations for auto-tracing software? Thanks for your time.

Not exactly sure what your looking for but yes I've used Streamline, on Mac
and PC (also have Corel PhotoTrace). Streamline works pretty good but does
take some clean up afterwards (works better than Corel most of the time).
The cleaner your original is the better the conversion will be.

... or, if you also use FreeHand, then give a try to its internal tracer...
more comparable to Streamline than to tracing in Illustrator.

I don't think it's off-topic. It's been discussed here
regularly. You might want to try Deja-News to see the
past discussions.

Having said that, I've tried Streamline. In a few cases
it traced the patten very well (a few Celtic Knot designs).
In most other cases I've tried it's been really miserable.
The results were really useless.

The trace tool in Illustrator hasn't been any better.

Others have reported better results with other products,
but I haven't tried any.
