get this:

"an error occurred while processing the illustrator appearance of an object"

this is an error message i get when i open a particular file, the file is
fine once opened, but how can i fix it so that i dont get this message?
i chucked it into indesign and it seems okay until i try to save as a pdf,
then the whole program just crashes without warning (it shuts itself down).
i tried with other illustrator images in indesign and it does the same
thing.
all the files wereplaced into indesign as .eps files.
has anyone any idea what is happening, i need to get my assignment in to
school soon.

cheers

steve

actually, it is only one image that crashes indesign.
if i place the image in a large graphic frame, there no problem, however, if
i place the same graphic into a small frame, thats when i get problems.
everything seems fine until i export as pdf.
???
weird.

Export as a tiff sized to fit the box you want to put it in or export as a psd
and open in Photoshop and resize.
While you can put large photos into small boxes and resize them in ID, it's not
a good idea. It can cause the problem you're seeing.
