Illustrator doesn't support the faux bolding option of Photoshop. You can
artificially make a font bolder by adding a stroke to it, but it will
probably look about as poor as the Photoshop faux bolding does.

Hey all. I'm new to Illustrator and I'm redoing a graphic
that was created in Photoshop. The main font used
the faux bold option and I can't figure out how to make
the same bolding effect. Any suggestions? I need
to send this out for print tomorrow so please help asap.
