I must agree with James Raworth. The truth is that, commonly, women are
becoming almost as much involved in firearms ownership and shooting sports
as men. For these less-than-honest hysterical anti-firearms
ownership/anti-self defence public figures to brand us as "women haters"
could not be further from the truth. I have personally donated time and my
profession to fundraising for Women in Need (WIN), helping raise thousands
of dollars for them. I am a hunter and sport shooter and at one time I had
a large and valuable collection that I disposed of when the draconian gun
laws were introduced in 1995. I sent most of my rare historical collection
to Las Vegas for auction fearing (rightfully) that the law was designed for
confiscation. The C-68 Firearms Act law attacks only the honest, since
those who are in the grossly incomplete, error-riddled and porous database
are by definition honest and law abiding. In the meantime it protects real
criminals who laugh all the way to their next live home invasion, a term
that was not even coined until the terrible and contradictory laws were
enacted.
