THIS IS WHAT THE BG's ARE DOING AND WERE THEY ARE AT WITH THE GUN LAW
NONSENSE....

ALSO, I THINK A CONVICTED CRIMINAL, LIKE "HELLER" IS NOT A
"Convicted Criminal", THEREFORE NOT SUBJECT TO THIS CATEGORIZATION....

THEN THERE ARE THE MILLIONS OF OTHER NON-VIOLENT PAPER CRIMINALS
THAT ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THIS CATEGORIZATION....

Dear NG,

A year ago, I listened in total disbelief as five of the nine U.S. Supreme
Court justices threw out the long-held "militia purpose" view of the Second
Amendment in favor of an "individual right."

You and I know that Justice Scalia and the other four justices were wrong
that day. And I knew that meant big battles lay ahead.

Within hours of the Heller ruling, the gun lobby filed six lawsuits to try
to gut gun laws in other communities.

That's why the Brady Center set up the Brady Gun Law Defense Fund -- to
fight the gun lobby's challenges under Heller and to defend our nation's gun
laws.

While the 5 - 4 majority affirmed an "individual right," all nine justices
agreed that the right is not absolute. And we've used this to great
advantage. We've prevailed more often than not -- despite the gun lobby's
continued appeals to higher courts.

Now criminal defense attorneys are using the Heller decision to try to
re-instate "gun rights" for their clients, including domestic abusers and
other violent felons.

On the anniversary of this landmark decision, I ask you to make a special
tax-deductible gift to the Brady Gun Law Defense Fund to help us uphold the
laws that keep dangerous weapons out of the hands of dangerous people.

been stronger, but we need your support to wage our winning legal battles.

Sincerely,
