I was thinking about writing one, but I cam to the conclusion that it would be
of no practical use unless it could be used as a pipe from newsreaders,
extracting the Goth Code from the news articles. I worked out how long
(roughly) it was going to take me and thought "sod it".

You could always write one yourself.

] Or perhaspa decoding program?

There's nothing out there as yet, though a few people have suggested that
they'd write one.

If/when something becomes available, I'll post info about it (if the person who
actually does it hasn't already advertised its existence), and there'll be a
link to it from my homepage.

I think the very fact that a person has the gothcode at the
end of their mail says far more about them than anything the
decoded symbols might reveal. The very presence of all that
code implies: anal retentive and slightly scary.

Hmm, well I'm not particularly anal retentive (I make no claims as to
my scaryness ;) but then again, I don't put my gothcode at the end of
my mail, just my alt.gothic/alt.gothic.fasion posts...

(And I may stop doing that - v2.0 is too long :( )

Considering how long it took to write the bloody thing, I'm not surprised.

If it happens, I'll be _very_ happy to advertise it.. until then, I guess
it'll be a manual job.

V. Gabrielle waits for her club pin..."Bigmouth strikes again", one
of my more favorite songs, actually.
