Does Thomme read this? Not until we get the wiring fixed so my computer
can actually be plugged in. Or unless he finds another house with a
computer (we can't all have net access at work :)

ah, good to see you here, sir reagle. the club referred to is Orpheus,
on Pratt st. Goth night is thursdays... other nights, in my opinion,
leave much to be desired. but for more info, check out vijay's home
page... he has good directions there (I think). Unfortunatley, I don't
quite remember the exact url, and am too lazy now to find it.
good luck!

Yeah, Joe Reagle, ex-UMBCer, now at MIT. I thought most of you guys
knew him already. Oh well, here is a tidbit about orpheus.
The DJ's from GothNight (Mykl and Verite) are going to be DJ'ing on
Noir Nights there every Saturday as well. So the music should pick up
and be cool again.

Argh, they played Duran Duran at Orpheus.
The cheeze factor is starting to grow exponentially.

The Savoy is cool, the problem is the "dancefloor" is too small.
Though DJ Recoil does spin an amazing set.

I think MIkal (or however he spells it) and Verite need to be slapped
upside the head for some of the stuff they play. I dont pay to get in so
I can listen to them have fun playing music totally out of context.

DJ Rekoil is pretty cool, although I have never made it to the Savoy
because of conflicting schedules but anyway. I know him na dhe has
awesome taste in music. Just dont beg him to play Controled Bleeding
over and over again.
(No! of course this was not a plug for my friend!)

Mykyl. The name is Mykyl. And yes, they do need to be bopped on the
head once or twice. I try to bring in some stuff and the are pretty
good at playing it. The set however, is progressing something like
the following, every fucking thursday.
9-10: Noise, ambient spacey type of stuff.
Then comes a slowish, vocal dark set which is pretty cool.
Then they switch to a harder industrial set, which comprises of
some old Noise Unit, A Split Second, RevCo (which I can't stand), FLA,
and 242.
Gothic set, Alien Sex Fiend, I heard Andi Sex Gang once, Sisters,
Gitane Demone, et al (Goth Daze CD goes here)
Spacey, happy joy joy set.
B52, Duran Duran, Lords of Acid, Liz, Once they played Alanis.
Back to Industrial set. Which _must_ feature NIN - Get Down Make Love,
and Pop Will Eat Itself - Ich Bin Ein Auslander.
At this point they will slip in Puppy and maybe some Haujobb if I
remember to bring in my CD's. At this point they wil also play my
second CD - either Some More Crime, Cubanate, Sphan Ranch or 16 Volt.
This is probably my fav set.
Back to Gothic slowish set, featuring some more NIN and SoM.
Then we start back to featuring Delerium (Semantic Spaces
incantation et al), Sinead O'Connor and other annoying pipes, and
assorted wailings.
Some more gothic stuff, including at least one I walk the line and
then fade to close with more bloopings, wailings, and other assorted
stuff.

The Savoy got raided and shutdown for serving after hours this
saturday. This is hearsay, but I tend to believe it, as they always
had problems with the cops.
DJ Rekoil plays some _good_ stuff.
Noise Unit, FLA, 242 (the only DJ in baltimore who dares to spin
Official Version on a regular basis), Some More Crime, Haujobb, Skinny
puppy (only DJ in Baltimore who dares spin stuff other than
Assimilate, Dig it and Worlock), Cubanate, Zombie, Ministry, Bol, 16
Volt, PWEI, Celtic Circle, Circle of Dust, Einsturzende Neubauten,
Leaetherstrip, klute and the rest of the Zoth ommog bands, Excessive
Force, Mussolini Headkick, DAF, Steril, Suicide Commando et al.

If the song they played was "Rio" it was because she left town this
weekend, and Thomme had every club he could find play it for her at least
once.
He's mopey these days...

Savoy was raided, but not sure about the shutdown. The lights were on and
it had an "open" look about it. It was only about 4:30 in the afternoon,
and I was driving home on my way from work, so I don't know what's up.
Haven't talked to Thomme or anyone else yet, so...

And I played it on Friday. It was a "send off" for someone who happens to
be named Rio...she moved to Cleveland on Saturday.
I promise I'll never do it again...maybe.
