CHILLICOTHE, Ohio, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- A Chillicothe teenager who tried
to become a vampire via a blood exchange ritual, and another boy who
claims to already be a vampire, have been charged in juvenile court.
Frank Doyle III, 17, was officially charged today with juvenile
assault and Brandon Hettinger, 13, was charged with being an unruly
child.
Hettinger allegedly asked Doyle to take some of Hettinger's blood and
inject it into himself -- a procedure that would let him be initiated
into a clan of ``vampires.''
Doyle told investigators he's part of a vampire clan whose members
live as far away as Florida and he is not afraid to die because he is
already dead.
Hettinger's sister, Georgina, told WCMH-TV in Columbus that she was
in shock over the incident. ``I said, 'Why would you want to do that?'
He just said Frank understands him and he finds a special friendship
with Frank.''
Hettinger was previously charged, at the request of his mother, with
unruliness and an unrelated criminal trespassing charge against Doyle
remains pending.
Both teenagers remain free in the custody of their parents and
guardians.
Chillicothe is located about 45 miles south of Columbus.
