After several days in hospital, and several more weeks in bed, Krol is
now recovering in Montreal under the care of his girlfriend Maria Lyne
Chretien.
The attempted murder suspect is free on bail awaiting trial.

Has anyone else heard of these people?

That's nice to hear, I guess. Still, I'm not sure what he has
to do with us.

Depends on whether or not you believe that time is linear, I suppose.

Mediocre band, but goth.

Yep. They were a fixture on the Toronto scene for a long
time, and they performed at C4. Mitch used to have a Sunday
night radio show from midnight til 3 AM, and I used to
listen to it all the time.

It must have been PCP. When you drop acid, you're aware of who you are
and what you are doing. You end up watching the wall breathe, bend
household plants in your mind and watch "The Simpsons" in slow motion.
With PCP, you think you dellusions are real and you go to extreme
measures to deal with them, like stabbing yourself to rid your body of
worms.
Regardless, that's pretty goth to be attacked by a butcher knife.

No, that would have been Thor, the stage manager.
He still had those shorts.
he was the one with the terrifying leather shorts, yeah?

oh, right! i remember! they were scary.
i remember a latenight goth radio show with a vocoder creating a really
deep voice. Matt listened to it.
give me a hint as to who masochistic religion were, as people? i am
increasingly disturbed at my total abscence of memory. :)

that's **really** scary. they had *odours*.
I'd agree that PCP is more likely to trigger a violent episode,
but it does happen on acid; more often so with high doses, or if someone
takes it without realising (eg: as a result of being spiked). Iirc, a
certain couple from this very newsgroup had a flatmate start chasing
people around with an axe during an acid trip.
That was it! Beyond The Gates of Hell on CIUT.

There was a bit of rotating line-up. Mitch Krol wrote the
songs, sang and played guitar. The group was his baby. He
also bartended at The Rivoli. He was tall, with really long,
thick hair that was dyed about 6 different colours all at
once.
Mopa Dean played bass, and he was also the music director
for CIUT. Martine Matthews played cello and sang and spent a
lot of time staring menacingly at people.

He may have dry cleaned them or something. He stage managed
a couple of shows that LD50 did, and I didn't notice any
untoward odours.
