Ugh, ::crying:: my b/f just broke up with me and I'm in tears. I confronted
him about cheating and then he started asking why we got together in the first
place. After awhile he asked what was the point of being together. The next
nite he called and said it wasn't my fault, it was his, that he was sorry but
he can't be in a relationship right now because of whats going on in his life
(bad job, not sure if he can graduate). I feel like shit right now, been
crying for awhile, and I just needed to spill this somewhere at 4:31 in the
morning. It's been 4 hours and 31 minutes, and oooooh do I feel bad. I feel
like I lost a best friend on top of that. I could tell him everything. It was
hard having to put the ring he gave me away so I couldn't see it. I want him
back so bad, and plus I'm on the rebound. About 2 and a half hours after he
broke up with me a good friend of mine asked me out. I'm not sure if it was
out of pity or what but I thought "what the hell" and now have a b/f again.
I'm afraid I'm gonna hurt him though since I'm still in pain over my last b/f
(obviously, since it hasn't even been 24 hours). I feel like I really loved
him and he just ripped my heart out. He said he didn't want a relationship
RIGHT NOW so I'm thinking he either might be trying to soften the blow or he is
being sincere and might go with me again. I dunno. I have a feeling I made a
mistake getting a b/f so soon, I'm probably on the rebound so ugh. Well thank
to all those that listen to me pour my heart out, I just needed to get this out
somewhere.

It's fickleness like this which really gets on your nerves, particularly
if your the sort that a "relationship" (biohazard containment quotes), is
simply nauseating. Besides, you shouldn't be involved with fractions or
exponentiated fractions.

I just went through something similar so I know how sucky this whole thing is.

You know what though? You don't need someone who's going to cheat on you
anyways. Probably if you wouldn't have confronted him, he would have
continued to do things behind your back, thinking you didn't have a clue.
How respectful is that? How can you ever trust him again? I'd say you're
better off now. I found out an ex of mine was cheating on me after the fact.
I almost thought we were going to get back together but I basically told him
Hell No. I deserve better than that. And so do you.

Seriously, there are better men out there.

I'd watch out about the rebound thing though. You might break some poor
boi's heart. Be careful and completely honest. Let him know how you're
feeling and kind of why you started dating him in the first place and then if
things don't work out, you can get out of it wihtout too much discomfort.

Good luck!

I used to think so too, but now I think otherwise. I am so much more
bitter now than I have ever been. But luna_sidhe has given some kind
words and good advice, especially about the rebound thing. acidblue6,
you really should not get involved with someone else if you're still
freaked out about what that bastard did.
My personal choice, after being lied to, cheated on, and dumped, is
this : I won't get involved with *anyone* - I vow to spend (at least)
the next year devoting all my time and energy to myself - doing all
the things I have ever wanted to do.

Just my $.02

yea, but.

After being dummped for "being too nice" or "too good" better men eventually
cease to be better and become cynical and withdrawn. So, when you find
one of the better men, be sure to remember that they dont always provide
the same kind of exciting fear that a less than better man provides, they also
dont cheat or get drunk and cause people to have "accidents".

I have to disagree with you. I'm a good man. I've been dealt some real dirt
by the female kind in the past.

It taught me how to differentiate between a woman and a girl.

Women have honor. In time, most girls will become women.

Don't bother with girls. Get yourself a real woman.
