Shingles info to stop the itching:
I would use a grape seed oil and use the E O's lavender,melaleuca,( tea tree)
buy a 4 oz grape seed oil and add 15 drops of each oil and rub it on this will
heal and stop the itching
Dandruff:
Tea Trea oil is good for dandruff to you can add a few drps to your shampoo or
y a shapoo with tea tree oil in it. Also try:
Vinegar rinse- To a mug of water, mix two tablespoons of malt vinegar. After
shampooing, rinse the hair with it. Towel-dry your hair. This is an excellent
remedy to prevent oily dandruff.
Massage and daily brushing is extremely helpful in treating dandruff. They
invigorate the blood circulation to the scalp, promote oil effusion and
dislodge the dead cells sticking to the scalp for easy, healthy and much-needed
exfoliation. If
Cold care:
1 large onion or 2 small onions
450 g/1 lb of clear honey or brown granulated sugar
Slice the onion into rings and place about 2 inches worth in a mason jar, then
place about 2 inches of brown sugar or honey. fill the jar with alternating
layers, pressing down with a spoon or something with each layer. The last layer
should be of sugar or honey. Let stand overnight, then strain off the liquid,
this is the syrup, keep it in a dark cool place, this should last for about a
week. adults should take 2 teaspoons 3 times a day; children take 1/2 - 1
teaspoons 3 times a day.
An equal mixture of honey & cinnamon can be used fr coughs. Even as a topical
ointment for sore muscles.
For coughs or a sore throat, mix one teaspoon of honey with two teaspoons of
lemon juice.
For acne/oily skin:
Dry an orange skin (peel) in the sun. When fully dry and hard, crush it and
make into powder form. Then add a few drops of rose water and turmeric power
and apply on the face for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
Tender coconut water contains sodium, potassium, copper, sulphur and
chlorineand Vitamin A. It helps to flush out toxins from the body and is good
for those suffering from dull skin and acne.
Cleansing mask- Mix 1/4 teaspoon fuller's earth, some tomato pulp and yoghurt
in a little cucumber juice and apply on face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse it off
with cold water. You should apply this mask atleast twice a week.
White of an egg is a good toner for the skin. It helps tightening the facial
skin and helps fight oil.
Dry Skin:
Nourishing mask- Mash a banana and beat in a teaspoon of salad or vegetable
oil. Brush it on to the face and leave it on for twenty minutes till it dries.
Then rinse it off. This nourishing mask should be used once a week atleast.
Hair stuff besides dandruff care:
Grind one cucumber and one carrot in a mixer or a juicer and drink it. It helps
in curing dehydration and acidity and also promotes hair growth.
Conditioner- Mix 1/2 cup honey and 1/4 cup olive oil. (Use 2 tablespoons oil
for normal hair.) Work a small amount at a time through hair until coated.
Cover hair with a shower cap; leave on 30 minutes. Remove shower cap; shampoo
well and rinse. Dry as normal.
Hair Shine- Stir 1 teaspoon honey into 4 cups (1quart) warm water. Blondes may
wish to add a squeeze of lemon. After shampooing, pour mixture through hair. Do
not rinse out. Dry as normal.
Other skin stuff:
A few drops of honey and lemon juice mixed together can be a good natural
moisturiser.
Bath salts- 2 cups Epsom Salt, 1-2 drops of food coloring, 1-2 drops of
fragrance or essential oil, 2 tablespoons of baby oil. Simply mix all
ingredients together and store in a jar. Add to your bath to your taste.
"Almond Joy"- Stir equal parts of milk and olive oil, with 1/2 part sugar, and
several drops of almond extract together in a microwave safe container. The
mixture should be of a syrupy liquid consistency. Heat in the microwave and
then take the container with you to the shower. Use a washcloth or loofah to
smooth the delicious smelling mixture over all over your body, leaving it
smooth and polished.
Exfoliating- Mash together 1/2 cup of pineapple and 1/2 cup of diced papaya so
they make a paste. Apply this mixture to a clean, dry face and leave on for
five minutes or more, then rinse well with warm water. It will dissolve dead
skin cells and leave you glowing.
For dull skin- Extract half a cup milk from a freshly grated coconut and mix a
teaspoonful of honey in it. Massage all over the face for about four to five
minutes. This brightens dull skin and gives it a glow.

Hey Kendy,
I've found rosemary* to be a real dandruff helper too. Especially in a
treatment made with olive oil. Makes the whole scalp feel amazing and kicks the
flakes.
