no, that's not the title to some tired country song.
*its the brand name of a cool pomade i found at my local beauty supply
store! i got their blue colored one, but they have lots of other fun
colors as well. the stuff's a bit difficult to wash out, but it looks
nice while its in. (though it does feel a bit sticky...)
anyone else tried the stuff?
I have about six different colors (and I've ordered a seventh). It
doesn't seem to do too well in my hair, but maybe that's cause I
haven't used enough, I don't know. I use it for makeup, mostly, and
body paint. It gets pretty smeary, though, which is a problem.
Is there anything you can buy that's like a fixative for your face,
like they have for artwork? If there isn't, there should be.

I have the blue pomade. The only problem that i have with it is trying to
wash it out of your hair. I got it at Hot Topic, but since then, they
stopped selling it. I have been trying to find other colors. It doesnt
truely look that pretty as a lipstick. Then again, that is only my point
of view.

I posted a plea a while back for someone to help me find some. :) I
have the green, the black, the white/silver, the gold, the copper, and
the burgundy. (yes, i bought one of each that they had. :) I haven't
really used them in my hair yet, just as face and body paints.
They're okay for that-- kind of smeary, unfortunately. And to get
good color, you have to glop it on, which makes it even more smeary.
How did you wash it out of your hair? Did you use vegetable oil
first? I think they said that was sposed to help.
Where did you get yours? I am desperately looking for blue. I think
the possibilities of deep blue lipstick haven't been fully explored.
Someone emailed me their 1-800 number, which I called. I had to leave
voicemail asking for a catalog. It's been at least two weeks, and no
catalog has been forthcoming. Maybe I'll try again sometime.

I had high expectation for this company, and I still look over the
selection when I go to a make-up place, but, all in all, IMHO. their
products "look" better than they really are.

really? i haven't had such problems... i'm wearing the greenish-black
glitter lipgloss right now, in fact. at first it does smell odd but that's
gone away, i just don't lick my lips and it's not all THAT sharp. and it
looks pretty =)

Actually, I got a tube of MP's Ultra Violet, and am quite fond of it.
It takes a few strokes to get the full-power color, but it's nice and
bright then. It doesn't _taste_ like lipstick, either, which is a big
plus in my book. It lasts better than the cheapo stuff I buy, though no
regular lipstick will last forever. Not bad on the lips, either
(conditioning/deconditioning-wise).
