For Sunday-ish values of Saturday that is.
Eilis, Laura and Shannon's Long Beach Bid
Overwhelming popular support for the bid.
No objections raised.
The bid is deemed to have been ratified by alt.gothic.
alt.gothic's Finest featuring Axel's Omaha Bid
Generally popular support however some legitimate concern was raised
over including an execution as part of the party.
After intense discussion with the Committee, they eventually agreed
that the execution would be symbolic / theatrical rather than literal
to prevent legal issues.
The bid is deemed to have been ratified by alt.gothic.
Carlee, Kerry,Erica, Robert and Mike's Seattle Bid
The most controversial bid this year with many people opposing
ratification.
Over the course of the discussion period a significant proportion of
them either changed their minds or reduced the extent of their
concern.
Our decision on this one was a lot harder than the other two.
After careful deliberation this bid is deemed to have been ratified by
alt.gothic.
In the event that you believe that the overall opinion of the
community has been misunderstood or misrepresented by us, please speak
out now with lots of references so we can review our decision.
After the vote is done, I'll bestarting a thread so we can discuss how
the ratification worked and what can be done to improve it.
For the record I was impressed with how it proceeded.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Carlee, Eilis, Erica, Kerry,
Laura, Mike, Robert and Shannon* for their work on the Long Beach and
Seattle bids. Competition tests and strengthens most things, and I believe
Convergence is no exception.

I believe all the bids deserved to be ratified, and I will fight** anyone
who says otherwise.

For the record I'd like to state that you volunteered.
Right. Enough of the ratification. Let's get on with the electioneering.

my vote can be bought for the usual price: the conveyed impression that your
candidate is best suited to win in my opinion, and maybe a cup of tea or two
http://www.altgothic.com/voter/index.php
Pick your 1st and 2nd choice bids.
Tick the ticky box
Click the Submit button.
If your 1st choice is eliminated your vote is assigned to your 2nd
choice.
Bids are eliminated and votes reassigned until one has an absolute
majority.
Voting for Boo's Pants means you are saying "All these bids suck and I
want a do over".
If you select Boo's Pant's as your 1st choice your 2nd choice will not
be counted.
