Convergence XXIV--Call for Art Show Submissions!

Calling All Artists
The Convergence XXIV Committee is pleased to announce that we are now accepting submissions for our art show.
There is no stated theme for the show, but works works considered to be Gothic will receive preference for the show, as fitting the event.
Any medium is welcome, including but not limited to: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, Textile and Digital works.
Please email submissions to: detroitconvergence24 at gmail no later than March 19th, 2018. Artists selected for the show will be notified NLT March 26th, 2018. Show dates April 27-29, 2018 at the Edward Hotel & Convention Center, Dearborn MI.
Artists selected for the show will be provided with a space and hardware to display a limited number of pieces, and will be granted permission to sell those and other works. The show will be judged by a panel of committee members and attendees. Modest cash prizes, certificates of recognition, and gift certificates will be awarded for "Best in Show" and 3 other "Honorable Mention" categories relevant to the submissions received. While there is no theme for the show, artists are encouraged, time and inspiration permitting, to incorporate the mascot for this year's Convergence (Detroit's own Nain Rouge) into any works created specifically for this show.

Submission is free, but selected artists will be charged a modest fee of $25 to help defray costs of display space and mounting hardware, etc.
