[C9] Calling all artists!

The Convergence 9 committee is pleased to announce the opening of the
submission period for artists interested in displaying works as part of
the art show. The projected deadline of this submission period is
January 18, 2003.
Interested artists are welcomed to submit samples of their work in .gif,
_jpg, or comparable format. URLs of online galleries are also
acceptable. Large files (over 100K) are discouraged unless compressed.
If a submission must be made via postal services, please remember to
send copies only. Do not send original material.
Submissions must be made to the committee using the following email

The subject line must be: C9 Art Submission
To request the address for making a submission via postal services, the
same email address listed above may be used.
The subject line must be: C9 Postal Submission.
A reply will provide the "snail mail" address. Mail-in submissions will
be returned upon request, if the submitting artist includes appropriate
postage. All mail-in submission must be postmarked prior to January 18, 2003.
Once the committee has made their selections, artists chosen to display
their work will be notified regarding available space and display
logistics. As space is limited, both for the number of artists and for
amount of material, please keep this in mind in the event that you are
among those selected to display works. Each artist selected may expect
to display between five and ten medium-sized pieces of art.
Please note that the art show is for display only and not for sale.
Arrangements for sale of artwork must be made through the vendor coordinator.
The committee will contact every submitting artist, regardless of the
selection results. This notification will begin immediately following
the submission deadline and selection process.
