Now having posted this five times I wonder who keeps losing their copy ? Here goes.
Anne married Captain Mark Phillips at the rather young age of 22. She had been through several loves by that time, none of whom wanted the job of her husband in the spotlight of the royal family.
Mark and Anne had several public arguments which
drew interest from the press as the couple were screaming at each other in a hotel room. Mark once kicked in their hotel room door while the couple were traveling after finding that she had locked
him out. The Queen was upset at Mark's refusal to accept the title of an Earl offered and refused at both marriage and the time of Anne's childbirth as she wanted her first grandson Peter to have a
secondary title of Lord and Zara as Lady. The Phillips could not end their marriage as Princess Margaret was separated in 1976 and divorced in 1978 and had to wait. Mark was involved
with several others Anne was very closs to a former bodyguard, Sergeant Peter Cross . He went to his attorney's office and signed affidavits that his coming autobiog was true in an odd move referring
to the portions which dealt with his affair with Anne. His own girlfriend also took out these affidavits swearing that Anne had phoned Peter Cross' home hundreds of times late at night. In 1986 he
sold his story to the " News of the World " for 600,000 pounds printed in three parts. The Royals could not sue the former officer or paper for fear more would come out and damage Anne's reputation.
In 1987 Anne finally did accept the title Princess Royal after refusing it more than three times before as it was felt that she could drop the name Phillips as in Princess Anne , Mrs. Mark Phillips.
She would only be known as the Princess Royal. Anne was closely related with Peter Cross after the birth of Zara and did not break things off with him for quite a while after which Anne no longer saw
Mark except when necessary and began her long arduous tours for the " Save the Children " charity. Anne turned to friends as the late Hugh Lindsay and her horse trainer David Nicholson. she also
began to build a close friendship with the Queen's Equerry, Commander Tim Laurence. In 1987 his love letters were stolen from the Buckingham Palace mail room and given to the " Sun" from whom they
were returned to the Palace. A maid who denied the theft was fired. Mark learned of all of this from reporters. Tim well liked by the Queen was not punished for writing a married Anne love letters,
only moved to Windsor. This is where Anne and he spent time together falling in love and in private.. Tim was invited to the Ascot Royal Box for Anne by the Queen. This is the point where Diana made
luncheon reservations for herself and Tim which did not arouse speculation and then the couple would be joined by Anne and Diana would leave taking most of the press with her. Tim grew to be a friend
of Diana's as well. The Palace lawyers worked on their financial plan and on her birthday, August 15th asked her Mother if she could announce a legal separation. the Palace choose a time when Anne
was out of the country, Andrew and Fergie were in Venice and Charles had a book coming out and announced the separation September 1st. In the midst of reporting the separation, Nigel Dempster went
live on " Good Morning America " labeling common knowledge the fact that one of her children has a father other than Mark. Mark made no comment and treated both children with love. All facts and
figures come from noted author Margaret Holder
who did a grand job of gathering facts , figures, names and dates.

Margaret Holder is not a noted author - she's written a few articles for
Royalty, but is not known for her authority or credibility - no
biographer or historian would consult as first source information
something Margaret Holder wrote in Royalty magazine

22 -=- born August 1950, married November 1973 -- 23 perhaps?

The queen was not upset with mark for not accepting the earldom or any title -
a precedent had been set with Angus Ogilvy -- Anne was instrumental in
not having titles for her children -- if she wanted her children to
be titled, and Mark would not accept a title, the queen could have made
Anne a duchess or a countess or whatever.

more likely, if dad was an earl, Peter would have been a Viscount

however, the only man close to Anne nine months before Zara's birth was
Mark Phillips-- easy to document and it has been, actually -
you do realize that the News of the World is also called News of the Screws -
this is a newspaper that has no credibility at all

such bull -- but you believe Royalty magazine, you will believe almost
anything -- there's this bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell.

Any photo of Diana with another man even with Anne would arouse suspicion --
Diana was having her own affair - she needed to find her own discreet
places - and restaurants are notorious places for being seen and getting
caught.

Margaret Holder is a noted author and biographer. What does Royalty have to do with Margaret Holder ? Royalty printed the news of William saying that he die not want
to be king or join the navy. Better get things straight.

Patricia -- you need to learn to understand what is factual and what is
fluff - Margaret Holder, Unity Hall, Brian Hoey all write fluff pieces --
they don't get their facts straight or correct -they don't source
their material -- and no editor challenges them because the editors of
Royalty and Majesty don't have the backgrounds or the expertise to
check for facts =

So if it appears in Royalty, it must be true -- Patricia, in all seriousness,
get over your addiction to what is printed in royalty --
if the NewYork Times reports it - let me know
