>The Sunday Times said the queen, who has not yet informed family members of
>the
>plan, will finance the move herself. It said the palace, which has been a
>royal
>home since it was bought by King William II in 1689, will be converted into a
>permanent memorial to Diana and a museum to house pictures from the queen's
>Royal Collection
Meanwhile the Independent says that Buckingham Palace
will be the vessel with the pestle and the poison which is true and house the
collection of over 7,000 pix. If the pix go to Buckingham Palace , the Queen
and the Duke will move to Windsor Castle as a permanent base of operations and
leave Buckingham Palace to house the pictures, open up more rooms to its tour
and it would all mean that Princess Margaret refused to move from Kensington
Palace over to St. James Palace. ( only half joking Margaret). Prime Minister
Blair has wanted Buckingham Palace's empty unused space to be used for quite
some time and with Prince Edward to move to Bagshot Park the chicks will be
gone from the nest and the Queen and her Duke can relax and enjoy their days at
Windsor Castle , which it is said they prefer to any royal housing .

No, it now appears to be Kensington Palace that will be
cleared out of those royals and staff living there in order to make an art
gallery of some 7,000 pictures which had been hanging on royal walls and many
never seen by the public . The Palace will be a permanent monument to Diana,
Princess of Wales who lived there for such a long while as a young married gel,
young mother , Princess of Wales and finally Diana . Some stories have said the
Queen had not yet spoken to her relatives but would take upon herself the
expenses of moving them out of the Palace with Princess Margaret to go to St.
James Palace.

I know it's supposed to be cold and drafty, but Buckinghell Palace will freeze
over before Margo moves out of KP. I can just see her chained to the gates and
chanting "Hell nio, I won't go!"
>>Royals now living at Kensington Palace include
>>the queen's sister, Princess Margaret, and various cousins, including
>>95-year-old Princess Alice,

>At her age, a move could be life-threatening to Alice.....vt
I think the plan might wait for her to pass away, sadly as she
is in very poor health once the Gloucesters had to give up their country home
where Princess Alice had lived most of her life . Her garden had been laid out
plant by plant for her by her hubbs the Duke . She loved it there and when she
was uprooted and had to come in to live at Kensington Palace where sadly her
dog did not work out with the family and had to be sent to a former lady in
waiting in the country. At that point she crumbled having lost her lifelong
home ( her Duke of Gloucester bought as a gift for his love , Princess Alice's
childhood and family home ) her garden and her dog. The Palace says she is
infirm but I believe it has all been too much for her to stand.
