I wonder what is the story between Prince William and Zara Simmonds. Do they go
out together? Is that true that they were caught kissing this summer ? Is she
really a daughter of the Lady and granddaughter of the Earl? This is strange
because there was no Lady Simmonds on the Queen's 50th anniversary.

Prince William's first love was Zara Simmonds. They began dating when she was
14 and he was 12. Prince William sent Zara love letters and French
chocolates. They went on a holiday abroad together as guests of mutual
friends. The son of an English family to stay in their house in Greece. Zara was
invited separately and the couple spent time together on the beach and even go
on a Mediterranean boat trip. They became close as Diana and Charles were
negotiating the divorce. Prince William broke up with Zara when she decided she
did not like the age gap. William was deeply upset but Diana visited and
brought him through his first heartbreak. Zara, granddaughter of the Earl of
Ranfurly, is believed to have met William through one of his friends whose
sister was at her school Heathfield, a few miles from Eton.William was then
still at Ludgrove. The relationship lasted a year.William's first letters to
Zara caused a stir at Heathfield, Berks. A friend of Zara's said that when
William's letters arrived the school buzzed with excitement. She used to read
them in class. One friend of Zara said that she is sophisticated and " a cool
customer " not easy one to get to know , even snooty.Zara has an impeccable
family pedigree which no doubt met with royal approval. The Simmonds family
live in a mansion in Buckinghamshire but also own a property in the South of
France. Zara's father John is an industrialist. Her mother, Lady Caroline, is
the daughter of Countess Hermione Ranfurly, a writer who was handed a
distinguished award for her help in third-world countries. Zara is now
studying for A-levels in French, ceramics and business studies. Friends and
media have urged her to speak about the romance, but she has kept a dignified
silence.

Zara, born in 1980, is the daughter of Lady Caroline Knox, daughter of
the Earl of Ranfurly, and her husband, JOhn Simmonds.
Zara's mother's courtesy title is The Lady Caroline Simmonds. Her
daughter is a mere Miss

>Is that true that they were caught kissing this summer ?

The kiss was caught on film by Justin Etzin at a
£25-a-head bash for more than 1,000 upper-class teenagers in London last year,
organised by Etzin's company Capital VIP Promotions. Justin Etzin went on ITV's
Straight Up program revealed that he had taken pix of all of the party guests
including Prince William and " the kiss" claiming that William just happened to
turn up on his party info pamphlets and that the then secretary to Diana ,
Princess of Wales asked simply to not make the pix available to the media .
Justin Etzin has said that as Elton John would only play " Candle in the Wind
97" for Prince William and/or Prince Harry , he would only give the pix to
Prince William if he asked to either see it or have it as a memory perhaps all
the more bittersweet now that Diana is gone. When the twosome broke up Diana
was there to see William through his first heartbreak.

tabloid newspapers --
Lady Caroline is however the daughter of the Earl and Countess of Ranfurly -
and Zara is indeed two years older than William -
but dating - he 12, she 14 at time. I don't think so
