A King is married to a Queen, in the REAL world...albeit Mrs. PB sees
it differently...Being Queen is ENDLESS W O R K and she isn't having
any:

CHARLES CAN WED CAMILLA

PRINCE Charles is officially free to marry Camilla Parker Bowles, The
People can reveal.

The Church of England and the Government have signalled they are ready
to give the go-ahead - and The Queen has softened to the idea too.

Charles is delighted at the news which came about after secret talks
between him and the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams.

A senior royal aide told The People: "There is really nothing standing
in their way now. It is a case of when - not if - they decide to
marry.

"They know there will always be members of the public and devoted
Diana fans who will never accept Camilla as Charles's wife.

"But constitutionally and logistically it is all systems go."

Camilla, however, has made one thing clear - she NEVER wants to become
Queen.

Instead, as the Prince's - then King's - official consort she could
take a title such as Countess of Wales but have noand wants to support
and she is happy to do that in a semi-public way. "She has no desire
to be Queen or have any role other than his consort." The source
added: "Charles is delighted at the growing warmth towards his
marriage from the establishment and clergy. "He is especially pleased
to have won the support of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan
Williams."Prime Minister Tony Blair has insisted he will "encourage"
the union if the Queen seeks his advice.

And friends say Charles now feels free to propose to Camilla knowing
there will be no serious official objection to their wedding. He is
also free of the worry of upsetting his beloved late Grandmother who
would never have approved.

The couple are currently preparing to move in to the Queen Mother's
former home Clarence House.

Bookmakers have shortened the odds on a Charles and Camilla wedding
from 50-1 to 2-1. But despite Charles' new optimism they are unlikely
to wed before 2006 when Prince Harry has finished his education and
joined the Army.

Charles will be 58 and his bride 59.

Under the Royal Marriages Act of 1772 members of the Royal Family have
to seek the Queen's consent to marry.

If she approves, Charles could wed divorced Camilla immediately in a
civil ceremony. But as future head of the Church of England - and a
man of strong personal faith - Charles would want a second church
wedding.

There will be no pomp and circumstance, however, like his marriage to
Diana at St Paul's Cathedral.

Instead he would prefer a quiet country church - like Craithie on the
Balmoral estate - or even his localchurch, St Mary's in Tetbury, Glos.
In recent years the Church of England has relaxed its attitude to
divorcees marrying at the altar - leaving it up to individual clergy
to decide who they marry. The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Williams,
has always taken a stern view on divorcees who have committed adultery
marrying in church. But he is understood to have warmed to the idea of
Charles and Camilla's marriage following private meetings with the
Prince.

One high-ranking church official They are living as man and wife and
want to cement their union legally and in the eyes of God. There are
divorced clergy - why can't there be a divorced Prince of Wales or
King?

"After all the Church of England was set up by Henry VIII and he had
six wives."

But the Prime Minister would have to consult with the Queen and
effectively give it his blessing.

One senior source said: "Tony Blair would actively encourage the
Prince of Wales on this matter."

But the Queen has made it clear she does not accept it is "inevitable"
that Charles and Camilla will marry.

She likes Camilla and has been showing greater public acceptance of
her part in Charles' life. But she fears he is "blinded" by his
loyalty to the woman he has loved for more than 30 years. And the
Queen fears any announcement of the two marrying could divide
Anglicans at all levels.

But the Queen and Dr Williams are expected to discuss Charles'
marriage at one of their regular private meetings later this summer.

said: "The feeling among many of the bishops is that the time is right
and this issue should be sorted out. "It is daft that it should be
left hanging in the air like this

That Camilla and her family have been calling her QUEEN Camilla for
years recently was aired on British telly....so don't believe she
would turn down the Queen bit, were it ever to be on offer.

Charles is an absolute disgrace to the monarchy, his mother, his country and
his sons. But of course all of these don't matter because people are all
suckers and are forced to put up with his ways whether anyone likes it or not.

Too right. It's not like one can impeach a Prince and the alternate
beheading isn't in the cards either. <G>
