Model Carolyn Murphy in Custody Battle

SUPERMODEL Carolyn Murphy's ex-husband says the Estee Lauder beauty is a
"snobby little bitch" who won't let him see their kid. But her side claims he's
the one who hasn't lived up to his obligations, and she's hired a lawyer to
protect her rights.
Murphy, who sprang out of a trailer park in the Florida panhandle to become one
of the industry's top-earning models, and Jake Schroeder, a self-styled
entrepreneur she divorced a year and a half ago, have a 21/2-year-old daughter,
Dylan Blue.
They met in Costa Rica where Schroeder operated a surfing camp and lived in
upstate Ulster County after they married. As part of the divorce settlement,
Schroeder, who moved back to Costa Rica, got $1 million in cash and real
estate. Murphy has moved to Los Angeles where she's been dating Brandon Boyd,
frontman for neo-grunge band Incubus.
Schroeder recently remarried. Under the terms of his divorce from Murphy, he
has custody of Dylan every other weekend, plus three months in the summer and
holidays in even-numbered years. While living in Costa Rica he only saw her on
sporadic visits, but he says he just moved back to Washington state to be
closer to his daughter — only to find that Murphy won't let him near her.
"She's not letting him see his kid," a friend of Schroeder told PAGE SIX.
"She's pretty much telling him he's only a sperm donor, not a father. All he
wants to do is see Dylan."
The pal says Murphy, who was just honored at the 25th annual Outstanding Mother
Awards, isn't the same woman Schroeder married. "She's turned into a snobby
little bitch, dating a rock star, driving a $90,000 Jaguar and living in a $2
million house in Santa Monica," he fumes.
Schroeder, who says Murphy's actions violate the terms of their divorce
contract, is seeking legal help. "He told her, 'I'll see you in court,' " his
friend says. "And she said, 'Jake, I've got enough money to nickel-and-dime you
to death,' and she's right. It's a whole bunch of bull[bleep]. He just doesn't
understand it."
Murphy had no comment. But a friend of hers said: "Jake hasn't lived up to his
obligations, so she's retained legal counsel. Her primary concern is for the
safety and well-being of her child."
And Murphy's agent, Ivan Bart, said: "She's an excellent mother. Her schedule
revolves around her daughter."

First of all, Dylan Blue is a dopey name. Second, I knew Carolyn
Murphy was from the Florida panhandle (aka Redneck Riviera), but I
didn't know she came from a trailer park; this sounds embellished to
me. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this?

I am sure that is true, because she is from Ft Walton Beach, home of
Eglin Air Force base.
