And many social media users were up in arms about the unlikely run-in as some
even believed that she should be cancelled for introducing herself to the ex
commander-in-chief.
The 20-year-old TikTok star seemingly approached the 75-year-old
businessman-turned-politician as he watched the fight ringside with his posse,
as per footage captured by the YouTube channel NELK.
After shaking hands with the former president of the United States, the social
media star told him that she just 'had to say hi' and that it was 'so nice to
meet you.'
Many users took to Twitter to react to the brief meeting as some even believed
that Addison would be 'cancelled' over it.
One wrote: '#addisonrae whatttttttt [hand covering mouth, face screaming in
fear emojis] I feel like she’s gonna get canceled again I would bet my five
dollars on this.'
Another user took pleasure in the possible cancellation as they tweeted:
'addison rae getting cancelled for shaking donald trumps hand is in my top 10
moments of 2021.'
Comedian Chris Klemens had one of the most popular reactions on social media as
he believed she had revealed her political affiliation writing: 'Oopsies
Addison… your Republican is showing.'
The 27-year-old YouTuber later quipped: 'Word on the street is Addison Rae’s
song Obsessed is about Donald Trump actually.'
One user pointed out one of Addison's previous controversies of going on Jimmy
Fallon to perform dances which were choreographed by Black TikTok creators -
whom they failed to credit - back in April.
Days later Fallon was forced to apologize and invite all of the Black creators
behind the dances on the show to interview them before they did the
choreography.

stealing from black creators and shaking hands with trump and saying "it's so
nice to meet you" ermmm the math ain't mathing.'
Another said: 'not Addison Rae being one of the biggest performative activists
last summer and now her willingly going up to Trump to introduce herself and
talk to him.'
