Here in the UK we've had stories about Becks (who was such a good footballer
that he had to leave the best team in the UK - PR company presented it
differently) hating the fact that he is now a small fish in a much bigger
pond

On the other hand - We don't want him or his lady back here

When it comes to professional soccer, I would hardly call the US a "big
pond." Even the people who don't give a fig about soccer, and that's
the vast majority of Americans, think Beckham is an idiot. He landed
his bazillion dollar paycheck and was immediately sidelined with an
injury, during his first game. The only bigger losers than him are the
ones who own that worthless team.
