SUPERMODEL Cheryl Tiegs squandered $20,000 that was to be set aside for her
twin sons' future education. So says her furious ex-hubby, who is demanding the
former Sports Illustrated stunner fork over the fee from a photo shoot that
featured her and test-tube twins Jaden and Theo.

Yoga instructor Rod Stryker's lawsuit comes just one year after a vicious
divorce left him with custody of the 2-year-olds.

"Cheryl and Rod should get the award for best black-and-blue divorce," a
Hollywood insider declares. "They've been slugging it out like a couple of
boxers."

Cheryl, 55, and fourth husband Rod, 45, married in 1998 after meeting in a yoga
class. But their marriage was less than harmonious.

Rod wanted children. Cheryl – who has a son, Zack, 11, from her marriage to
Tony Peck, actor Gregory Peck's son – wasn't in a rush to start another
family. Also, she had trouble conceiving.

The couple hired a surrogate mother for $50,000 and had her implanted with an
embryo from Cheryl's egg and Stryker's sperm.

The twins were born in July 2000, a little over a year before Rod filed divorce
papers.

Cheryl seemed the picture of domestic tranquility when she posed with the
babies for the November-December 2000 issue of More magazine. But sources say
she was merely smiling for the cameras.

She didn't like spending time with the babies, shocked nannies Enid Gill and
Sylvia Theus told Star in August 2000.

"Cheryl would wander in, then leave and close the door, as if she didn't want
us and the babies to be part of the household," said Sylvia.

In early 2001, a friend of Cheryl told Star that the covergirl didn't have time
to bond with her children before her nasty split from Rod.

The marriage turned sour in 2001, and Rod won full custody of the twins.

Cheryl doesn't have to pay any child support or alimony. But she was supposed
to hand over the $20,000 that the boys earned for the More photo shoot and has
failed to do so, Rod alleges in his lawsuit filed Dec. 11 in L.A. Superior
Court.

Rod claims he had earmarked the money for the boys' college education.

Instead, he says Cheryl "misappropriated the funds for her own use."

She was also ordered to return some Victorian silver that's been in Rod's
family for generations, but she has not done that either, he charges.

Cheryl didn't take it very well when Rod told her on Sept. 25, her 54th
birthday, that it was over.

She had to be physically restrained and ordered from the room after she threw a
tantrum at the judge during a custody hearing.

The judge later deemed Rod a better parent.

"Cheryl is bitter over losing the twins to Rod," the insider reveals.

"She wears that bitterness on her face, which used to be her fortune."

"STUPIDITY IS NOT A HANDICAP. Park elsewhere!"
