BRACCO'S BRUSH WITH DALI
"The Sopranos" star Lorraine Bracco once turned down the advances of
master artist Salvador Dali -- because she thought he was a dirty old
man.
The actress was modeling in Barcelona, Spain, in her late teens when
Dali approached her at a party and asked her to pose nude for him.

She recalls, "I said, 'This is a dirty old man, I'm not going to pose
naked for him.' People were like, 'He's incredible, he's unbelievable,
world-famous.'

"Probably because I said no he was much more intrigued. He was very
persistent and he sent a fabulous huge etching of a man's penis, and I
guess it was meant to be flattering but I was really insulted by it.

"Everybody was like, 'Oh my God, this is incredible.' My reaction was,
'This guy is really a creep.'"

Bracco now regrets she didn't keep a hold of Dali's phallus painting.

She adds, "I gave it to somebody. He leant me his apartment for the
summer, so I gave him the picture."

And she's right!

I don't understand her friends' reactions.

How does being a famous artist make his actions any less creepy???

Just another example of how the rules are different if the person is
famous... or how people look at someone's actions differently if the
person is famous.
