He'd better. Didn't she say that anytime someone wants to give it to her
anally, she says fine, but I get to go first on them?

Did she? I must have been getting a cuppa during that part. Okay then, that's
it for me. I'm not dating HHH *or* Chyna.
Volfie (one or the other but not both, thanks)
..... dumb question (not a wrestling fan or viewer) but - who the
hell is HHH? Pardon my ignorance, please.

Before you buy.
Another wrestler, same federation, different sex.
Volfie (and Baran's complete fantasy life)
She was on a live radio show today and she said they were living together.
Since that blows numerous WWF storylines for those who believe that wrestling
is true I can't think why she would make that up.
Volfie
Okay, so when she calls him a major pain in the ass, she's not joking then.
I don't think it was a slip, though; I think it was more along the lines of
countering what Mick said at his lecture. Stern can throw anyone off balance
during an interview, which would explain her telling about Hunter's, um,
favorite thing.
Now this'll get interesting with the WWF. I hope Vinnie Mac doesn't punish her
for breaking kayfabe. I don't think he will since she didn't say this stuff in
a WWF context, but you never know. Not the anal sex thing, but the
relationship; it's hard to maintain the marriage angle between Hunter and Steph
with her talking publicly about her living with him. Hunter got punished for a
year for breaking kayfabe during a house match, but maybe since this is the
Stern show it won't matter. I hope so. Chyna's riding high right now and I'd
hate to see her get in trouble.
**************************************************
Baran: But I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Hunter heard
about this. He might be cool about it, but then he might not. He's not
acknowledged their relationship publicly in over a year, at least to my
knowledge, probably because of the McMahon-Helmsley story line.

This is all over the wrestling web sites along with speculation that Chyna's in
deep kimchee over what she said about living with HHH. If Marissa was there
does that mean the interview was sanctioned? Hmmm. All I keep reading is
"there goes the storyline".
**************************************************
Baran: Oh, is Hunter ever gonna get ribbed by the wrestlers over this :)
Ok Baran and Volfie, you girls are in the know. I'm trying to get a leg up
on this whole WWF deal, who's really with who and what's just for show? I
am so trying to follow all this but I need a little info to get me going.

Now tell the person who asked the dumb question.
Volfie (hint: it wasn't me.)
Romantically?
Okay...for real as far as I know you have Steve Austin recently married to
Debra who will be returning to the WWF sometime soon as yet another blond
'manager'. You have Jerry the King Lawler married a day or so ago to The Kat.
Now Lawler's son, Brian, is Grandmaster Sexay of Too Cool and I'm not sure Kat
is older than Brian, so that's gotta be fun. Gangrel is with Luna, a pairing
that sort of defines 'ewwww'. Lita is supposed to be dating one of the Hardys
but I'm not sure that isn't a work; at one point she was said to be involved
with Essa Rios and that was only a couple of months ago.
Steph is not married to anyone and as to whether or not she's involved with any
wrestler...there's speculation but no real information. Chris Jericho, the
Rock, Mick Foley, the Undertaker, Shawn Michaels & the Road Dogg are all
married, though not to each other <G>. Big Bossman was married to one of Bret
Hart's sisters and may still be for all I know. AFAIK Trish is not really
involved with any wrestlers. Terri either.
As for Chyna & HHH....I read an item as recently as last night that it's being
said they're not together and haven't been for some time but every so often she
says they are because she doesn't like not having a boyfriend. Three days
before she spoke about HHH on the Stern show Mick Foley told an audience at U
Missouri that they weren't together as far as he knew. I think, bottom line,
the company didn't want her to say anything one way or another because of the
HHH/Steph/Angle storyline. So the only ones who know for sure are Chyna and
HHH.

Michaels and Vince McMahon in Wrestling With Shadows in a small window on my

Bull....
Most of the WWF target audience is too young for Stern-and 97% know the
storylines aren't real anyway.
There have been stories lately that Steph would like a little less air time,
thank you very much. She's been in close to every episode of Raw and Smackdown
since last November and doing appearances at house matches as well.
I don't know much about Marissa except that she works for WWFE in some capacity
or another, but she doesn't (and to my knowledge hasn't ever) appear at shows.
She's treated like Shane and Steph; she'd damn well better show up and work or
there will be consequences. The whole family is like that. Vince just made
the Forbes 500 this year, comfortably in the 200s thank you very much, and he's
working harder than ever. Linda too. There are no free rides.
I still wonder if she was with Chyna at the Stern show as a friend or as a kind
of minder. She wasn't in the studio during the interview which strikes me as
odd; from watching Stern occasionally on tv there are always superfluous people
in that studio; you rarely see like a stripper show up without some friends.
Either way, I'd give a lot to be a fly on the wall in the offices come Monday.

Kayfabe is a wrestler staying in character and not doing anything to contradict
his storyline during an interview or a public appearance.
Chyna is in a work with Eddie Guerrero right now so when she goes out in public
for a WWF related thing she should, by rights, do nothing to contradict that.
Point of fact one night she and Eddie hosted the viewing at WWF NY. Going on
the Stern show and saying she's with Hunter doesn't just blow her storyline, it
blows his too. Maybe (hopefully) they will figure she wasn't appearing as the
character so talking about her real life is okay. But, you know, the lines get
so blurred between what is and isn't real that it gets confusing.
**************************************************
Baran: Too much wrestling stuff. One of these days I'm gonna overdose and
break out in hives shaped like the WWF logo. And then Vince will sue me for
trademark infringement <EG>
Never mind the target audience; the vast majority of wrestling watchers are men
between the ages of 18-35, the prime audience for advertisers. A crap load of
them are college kids too (which explains why Foley's U Missouri lecture sold
out). So they are, in face, Stern's listeners.
But kayfabe is every bit as much a tradition as anything else. Since the
storylines rule in the WWF (one of these days they'll do a show and nobody will
realize until the very end that there were no wrestling matches in it) and
believable storylines require suspension of belief, they'd prefer the wrestlers
not interject any more reality than they have to. It would be like David
Copperfield coming forward and saying "Okay, guys, the way this trick works is
we have a set of identical twins, one on this platform, one on that one, and
when I drop the curtain this one hides and that one stands up." Sucks the fun
out of it, even if most people know it's a trick.
**************************************************
Baran: Don't anybody let David Copperfield hurt me. Oh, hell, I can take him
in a fight.

Cyn - And Baran..David Copperfield uses TWINS??? Damn. that was my
favorite illusion, too (sniff). Thanks for destroying the MAGIC, man.

Wrong-look at the ads. It's all targeted to teenage males. The WWF marketeers
freely admit it.

They don't care anymore-they even had Bam Bam and LT on together years ago-and
they admitted on Stern it was all BS.
Plus the heels and faces travel together-and split rooms-which never happened
prior to McMahons NJ testimony.
I am not now nor have I ever been the Masked Magician; my sleight of hand is
better than his anyway. :)
Cyn, no, I just made that up as an example. No twins were used in any
Copperfield illusions. Ever.

Oh, *THAT* explains HHH being punished for a full year for breaking kayfabe.
Absolutely. And who rooms with who is completely irrelevant to the discussion;
so is who lives with who. Kayfabe is not 24/7 except in extreme circumstances
it has to do with public appearances. Some forums are okay for reality based
discussions, some are expected to be done under kayfabe. Whether Stern is the
former or the latter only the WWF knows. But don't tell me kayfabe is
irrelevant to the WWF, not when people are still punished and in some cases
even dropped from the roster for screwing with it. What you're talking about
isn't even germaine to the issue.
We were talking about two story lines, Chynas in which she is engaged to
Guerrero and HHH's in which he's married to Steph. Those are the two most
prominent storylines and if the WWF decides Chyna's words damaged them in any
way they will by God let her know about it. If. It helps to read 'all' the
words in a post.

Baran: "It's staged" does not affect the illusion; "Mick Foley is actually a
right bastard" does. Get it? Not that the latter's true; Mick's great.
