Ok, does anybody else laugh hysterically at Jason Alexander beating the crap
out of people with his kung-fu. I think he got out of those eight violent
street encounters by using a much more ancient defensive technique: run like
hell.

From IMDB Gossip.

"Seinfeld" (1990) star Jason Alexander is a real tough-guy - he's learned
martial arts to keep him safe on the streets. The tubby Hollywood actor's
character George Costanza was constantly picked on in the hit TV show, but
Alexander says he'll never have to go through similar experiences in real life
because he's mastered martial arts. He explains, "It's a very practical sweet
defense, and it's saved my butt on more than one occasion. I am the survivor of
at least eight violent street encounters." And Alexander admits he even has a
favorite move, "I especially like the top of the throat. If you can't breathe,
you can't fight."

I was leaving a bar once and outside there was this big muscular jock
(drunk) picking on this skinny, scrawny, nerdy looking guy. I didn't catch
why they were arguing...but it was after last call and in a particular area
of the city that attracts jock-y a-hole types (John & Adelaide, for those
who know). Anyways, the little guy kept saying he didn't want to fight and
the big jock kept poking and prodding him, till the little guy had enough
and beat the crap out of him. Broke his nose. Turns out he knew martial
arts.

Although it is humourous to think of George Costanza fighting kung fu style!

good that Jason was able to share his "hard side" with us. A few years
ago, he shared his "soft side" with us - saying he would not mind being
in a work with Patrick Stewart. This was just after Jason had seen
Patrick's play, where Patrick broke new ground by kissing a co-actor.
It wasn't that bad after all, Patrick let us know. At least Patrick
SAID it was new ground for him....
