From IMDB Celebrity News

Actress Juliette Binoche was left standing in the cold after being stood up by
Johnny Depp at the launch of their new film. Depp failed to appear at the
London premiere of Chocolat Monday night. Depp, 37, was believed to be in
London then - although he lives in France with model girlfriend Vanessa Paradis
- but did not make the champagne pre-party, film premiere or even the
after-party. Friends speculate that he wants to avoid controversy. A pal says,
"The last time Johnny came to London [for the premiere of Sleepy Hollow] he got
mixed up in some crazy situation with some snapper. He got in a fight and
things went crazy." But Binoche, 36, harbored no ill feelings, describing Depp
as "my perfect chocolate - he's dark, sumptuous and tasty".

What a jerk. I always loved Binoche. Brilliant actress. Wasn't he
supposed to be what the DiCaprio character was in Celebrity. Some stuck up
star trashing the hotel and his girlfriend. Awhile back, I remember him
getting arrested for trashing a room at The Plaza and if I remember
correctly Kate Moss was the other occupant.

Depp is on this month's Movieline...and from bits of the article that I read,
this guy has some serious emotional problems.

He's an odd ball, no doubt, but he's gorgeous and (IMHO) an underrated actor.
He hardly ever plays it safe when it comes to choosing roles.

Baran: He has not yet made my "He can do whatever he wants" list, though. :)

Juliette Binoche is a dream come true. There is something about her that makes
me love the thought of her even more. She always comes across as gracious,
humble and very self-effacingly humorous.

As for Johnny Depp, he does seem an "oddball" in a rather endearingly quirky
way. Is it true he has a profound fear of clowns? It seems I read where he
bought a John Wayne Gacy clown portrait to help him get over the clown phobia.

I can see where clowns could give people the heebie jeebies. I've always liked
'em myself, though.

She's just adorable and she has the most radiant smile. One of those women
who could persuade me to switch teams -- temporarily at least :)

Baran if you would forgive a lurker for only reading this group on
occasion, would you mind reposting your HCDWHW List? Thanks in advance!

It's real short regarding mainstream celebs:

David Duchovny
George Clooney
Bruce Springsteen
Ricky Martin (for being nicer to fans than he has to be)
and one girl
Gillian Anderson

Rob Thomas of matchbox twenty used to be on the list but that dorky song made
me take him off it :)

You better not be talking about "If You're Gone" or we're gonna scrap. ;-)
That's my new theme song.

Bring it on, babycakes. :)

I like angry, sardonic bitter Rob. "If You're Gone" will likely wind up being
covered by Barry Manilow or someone. I'm so disappointed in him.

Baran: I loved almost every track on Yourself, I loved Smooth but If You're
Gone makes me wanna puke.
